Easy Umpire: Cricket Scorer ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Easy Umpire: Cricket Scorer mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

1. Information Collection and Use

Local Device Data (Offline Storage)
The App is designed as a local-first utility. All cricket match records, team sheets, squad rosters, scorecards, historical ball-by-ball logs, and preferences are stored locally and directly on your device (using secure SQLite/Drift databases). We do not transmit, back up, sync, or upload this personal cricket match history to any external servers operated by us.

  • Resetting / Clearing Data: You have absolute control over your local data. You can permanently delete all match histories, scorecards, and local settings at any time using the "Clear App Data" option within the Settings menu. Once cleared, this data cannot be recovered.

Device Information & Camera Permissions
To personalize your experience, the App may request permissions:

  • Camera / Photo Gallery: Required only if you choose to take a photo or select an image from your device to set a custom profile picture for players or teams. Images selected remain on your local device and are not uploaded to any remote servers.

2. Third-Party Services and Analytics

To help fund the development of this free App, we display advertisements. These third-party advertising services may collect information used to identify your device to deliver relevant ads.

We integrate the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob & Mobile Ads SDK: Google may collect and use device-specific identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or iOS Identifier for Advertisers - IDFA) to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements, track ad impressions, and analyze ad performance.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all app data is stored locally on your device:

  • Your match scorecards and player files will persist on your device unless you delete the App or select Clear App Data (danger zone reset) in the Settings.

  • Uninstalling the App will automatically delete all locally stored data.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our App is safe for all audiences, including children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. All core scoring utilities operate entirely offline on the child's device.

Third-party advertising SDKs (Google AdMob) integrated into the App are configured to comply with children's privacy regulations (such as COPPA and GDPR-K) where appropriate. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

5. Security of Your Data

We value your trust in providing us your local information. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage on a mobile operating system, is 100% secure. Because your data remains on your physical device, the security of your cricket data relies heavily on your device’s built-in security features (passcodes, biometric locks, and sandbox environment protection).

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
